They appear to be very organised - the switch went ahead but there was little to no correspondence on if we would be connected on our requested date. Since then it has been an absolute headache on their "Smooth Pay" system, it has been anything but smooth! I am looking for other providers immediately

Prices are shocking my bills are super high! Power was disconnected without notice today! So I have 2 kids will be hungry and dinner can’t be cooked! Paid overdue amount and still have to wait for 4-6 hours for power to be reconnected! Shocking service too! Will be def switching power companies!

Been a customer for years and paid every bill on time,I was late with my payment for one week due to some issues and they threatened me with debt collection instead of a reminder.

Problems when switching. Not clear on the date of switching, agreed to price match, then did not initial but have done after complaining. Bills are often wrong or misleading. Spend too long calling customer services it seems each month. when calling and emailing you get different responses. Once a customer service agent told me that they owed me NZD230, when i owed them NZD140. they do not seem to grasp basic accounting as they issue a statement and invoice as a combined summary which causes confusion in their system, as they can issue multiple Bill/statements covering the same period and then aggregate the money owed ie double accounting. If i could be sure that another company was more competent in billings i would switch. If you join Pulse, check your bill in detail each and every month including the maths!!!

Worst customer service ever... been trying to pay a bill off asked to skip 1 week payment which was all ok and then said for them to restart payments again the following week and now we are on week 3 and still they havent sorted the automatic payments out. Every time i call i get told its all sorted and money will come out and it hasnt for 3 weeks now and then i get sent an email saying my bill is going to debt collectors if i dont pay when ive been emailing almost every day phoning every single day and being told the same stuff that its all sorted and payments will start up and nothing is happening. I wish i had NEVER changed

They claim they don,t do estimates!I have never had a bill over $150 and now I get an estimate for $300 and when I rang the lady said maybe they couldn,t get in and I said or couldn,t be bothered!I have no dog and a gate easy to get into, so I said I will now be switching companies, simple as that!

Theybsau their billing is "transparent" and they show you every single thing they charge for, which is good, but when it comes to comparing power companies and figuring out exactly what you pay it makes it difficult. But I compared with a few companies a couple of months ago and I am still getting the best deal I can.

I was always with Trust power but after relocating to a rural township I heard Pulse may be the better option so I rang and spoke to call centre. Have never had a problem this far and my winter power bills have been reasonable.

Definitely no complaints, I was on contact with 22% discount and this works out cheaper, plus there's no surprises in rates like with Flick, and I can still do the smooth pay thing. I also signed up via Black Box Power so I get a free Black Box Membership as part of the deal. I'm pretty happy

Billing is never clear cut. Had 3 invoices for the month of July unsure which one to go on. Have made the switch to genesis. Claims to have low rates yet charge me $62 for 7 days of power. ( some people are in the same boat with unbelievable power charges this winter). Not a satisfied customer!!
