How does VDSL Broadband work?

DSL technology is primarily limited by the quality and the length of the copper cables used by the company, which now affects the speed of the broadband connection. To solve this, VDSL broadband connections reduce the cable length via an optical node much closer to the user’s home while using fibre optics to connect the node to the service provider while the node still uses telephone wires to connect to the user’s home. This node is then installed much closer to the user’s point of installation, shortening the needed telephone wires and greatly improving connection speeds.
