It's early stages at the moment but I am not happy with the monthly bill I have just received and only been with Orcon for a week. I also thought as per their website that I would be charged half price for six months. This is what attracted me to change over to Orcon but have been billed a full month with $9.95 which apparently is for extra charges which I was not told about 😡😡😡

Been with Orcon for 5 years now and they have always given great service and great pricing - every time someone else contacts us with a deal Orcon undercut it and do better. Love having a knowledgeable call centre crew based in New Zealand!

My broadband provider is excellent!!! I have never had any issues with them ever, and the price is just right. I've recommended Orcon to everyone that has asked me about broadband providers.

For the past 4 days my speeds have plummeted to under 1.0! I can’t use the internet at all. 2 unanswered emails and 40 minutes on the phone to a tech achieved nothing. I’m waiting for some sort of solution from Orcon but expect all I will get is a bill.

Recently had a problem with our phone line causing problems with both phone and internet - fixed within 48 hours!

Orcon has been the only provider I have had . When we moved off the farm 5 years ago moving to town it went quite smoothly.We are in the process of getting fibre, it is to be dug in to the house this week and installed in house at end of month. Charges remain the same, and this includes landline phone.Billing has changed recently and I don't find it just as good as previously but it ok.

Orcon built an awesome business on great ideas and great customer service. First the customer service disappeared when they were bought out by an overseas company and now they have no imagination. They make everything difficult, but they are cheap, so if you have the time to put up with them setting things up, they do have good prices.

I believe they have had problems with their billing via email and so did not receive one rather I received a "Pay soon or you're late" which was a bit disappointing, otherwise cannot fault them thus far. Like how quickly they do answer when you call them! And handle your issue competently.

It was easy and simple to switch over but when you leave to cancel the account, they charge you an extra month for nothing! 30 days notice? no one mentioned that when signing up. now i'm paying a full month for nothing as i've already switched to a new ISP.

Orcon technical service is lousy. They refused to help me resolve my third party voip device which cannot get connected. Other devices like wireless printer and TV also takes longer to get connected once you have turned on the device. I have no choice but to terminate Orcon broadband which i have just started less than 3 months ago and made to pay $250 termination. Bad provider and i wouldnt recommend anyone to use Orcon

WARNING: ...... the Orcon Gigantic Fibre installation is little short of a scam. SIX hours on the phone to their Tech Support reveals that: (1) you must use their cheap Netcom NF18 modem (which countless reviews show is a terrible product) because otherwise your telephone connection will no longer work - and NO, they will not allow or assist you to reprogram your modem OR to use a better modem. (2) If unsurprisingly you find that your WiFi coverage is not giving you the speed that it should, this prevents you from replacing it with a better modem - even at your own expense. (3) They offer you a free Google WiFi to make this offer look appealing, but they will not deliver the GWF hardware to you till after you are locked into your contract, but by then it's too late and are up for $299 to break your contract - meanwhile you are stuck with a service that does not function to reasonable expectations. (4) Orcon refuses to provide ANY tech support whatsoever for the installation of the Google WiFi they have sent you. In other words, YOU take all the risk, Orcon takes none ... but you still pay. (5) Unless you have any technical expertise you risk committing to a 12 - 24 months contract but you are given no assistance or assurances that you get any sort of acceptable Wi-Fi coverage. (6) None of this information is disclosed in their sales offer. (7) Neither Orcon's Sales or Tech Support staff will provide any explanation whatsoever why the customer is treated in this manner, or how you can insure your service will work effectively. (8) Advertising this offer without providing all of the relevant information disclosed above is tantamount to misrepresentative advertising. Fortunately I had the technical experise to investigate and discover this before it was too late. I pity those that do not have this knowledge. Do not touch Orcon's Gigantic Fibre with a bargepole ...... and this leaves me disgusted with Orcon as a service provider. (NOTE: I only provided ONE STAR because there was no option to choose less.

I have always been with either Vodafone or Spark providers for internet and this time round I thought I’ll give Orcon a go given there very cheap deal half price deal they have got going on for their fibre. This is probably the biggest mistake I’ve made. I have definitely seen why it is so cheap because of the the very poor service and that o still haven’t received any internet after putting a request on the 31st Aug and it’s now 6th Oct. I have tried following up multiple time but it is very slow the responses and you cannot even get someone to talk to you as they have no contact centre you can call (everything done by email or online chat). I have been told fibre will be installed on the 11th Oct and in between while I have had no internet I have received 2x bills for no internet...! Twice I’ve had to dispute and have it corrected. I am going to terminate this application and pay the price with spark. Service goes a long way... disappointing!
