Had issues with electric from the start. No heating, no tumble dryer use. Out the house 5 days a week yet our bill is still $450 for 29 days. Can't use the app due to the smart reader not being able to be read. Every time I speak to customer service I get told something different.

Do not go with genesis, their customer support does not exist. I have had issues since day one and they have not resolved them. They do not respond to emails or follow-ups! Have provided them with information on how to resolve and re-create the issue, but they do not respond.

So expensive just for my two bedroom house I don't use much power at home but my bill will always be near 3bills on winter and 2bills somthing in the summer,, when I don't even use a heater. My power cost more then when I had a 3bdrm not only that Genesis Energy changes my amount of payment when they want to first it was 30 now its fourty somthing a week almost 50 dollars and they keep saying we seem like your power this month may need to be more so they change payment always on there end, I'm shocked at the rating when alot of people complain about genesis energy and prefer a different provider. can't wait to change smh

Totally happy with Genesis Energy. i have headache with Contact Energy at the Office.. when the bills go from 35 nzd to 265 nzd in a month with same electricity usage..

When they mess up its still on you to pay up. Disappointed that you dont give out payment extensions longer than 7 days fr an overdue bill that you didntsend me.

Not helpful and rude. Wait times are horrible only to get hung up on when they finally answer and then no one rings you back. Switch was absolutely shit and somehow my power got turned off While being switched over and then they charged me a reconnection fee when it was their fault? When it finally came over my first bill was somehow a estimate even though we have a smart meter.

Genesis energy have been fantastic! They even lowered my rate when I mentioned the possibility of changing providers. The app is really easy to use so you can track your daily usage.

I have only recently switched to Genesis Energy, from Energy Online. Because the two companies are in the same "family" I find their billing (and app) very similar. I am very happy with my experience and their customer service so far.

Very happy with genesis, we went from having 3-400$ power bills a month with meridian to 160-200$ a month with genesis. We have also not long switched out hot water to gas and genesis made that change simple and easy! Would highly reccomend

I give them a 4 star rating for overall satisfaction because of the high power prices however I prefer to stay with them because of the even pay option I use with them makes my power bills easier to maintain in our budget

Never had a problem even when i did have a huge bill they were patient with me and we talked over the phone about payment plans that were affirdable for my partner and I would recommend Genesis to anyone wanting to switch conpanies.

Genesis Energy has been great from day one. The only trouble ive had is with phone contact but its so easy to track your power usage with the mobile ph app!

Although Genesis can be a little more expensive, I find their Smooth Pay option and My Account online account are what suit our needs. We never stress about our power bill now because we know we will be able to pay it.

Tried to change company's they kept ringing and matched the deal. But I have to stay with them for two years. They were very pushy I am happy for now once it's up will probably change . Better deal

Have stayed with them once we moved house, Excellent hassle free connection. Even have the last two days at our old house power free with all the cleaning going on was a nice way to top off our house moving.

Jordan first verified that I was the person paying the bills and ascertained that my husband had already expressed a change to Pulse but wanted to speak with me first. As we are both older, we appreciate that Jordan had taken the time to ensure that we understood the importance of a smart meter as there are two dwellings on this meter.
